Bauer appointments underscore commitment

Bauer GmbH and its Australian & New Zealand subsidiary, announce their commitment to expand and strengthen local markets with the appointment of Queensland and New Zealand Sales Consultants.

"We are excited about our new products to be released in the coming months, and our strengthening of local markets with expanded inventory with a broader range of product," said Rick Beales, Bauer's Head of Sales and Marketing.

"The appointment of Mr Chris Orr in Queensland as regional sales representative will assist the delivery of service to customers and dealers. Chris has a proven leadership in developing markets and comes from a water treatment and management background, to help grow this sector, and the advanced green credentials of our range."

Bauer has been in Australia and New Zealand since 2002 growing exponentially to a point where the local operation contributes considerably to R&D in its Austrian manufacturing facility, with many products driven by the Australian and New Zealand experience. 'We listen to what people say and improve existing and new product', while continuing to provide the region with quality irrigation systems, pumps, separators, sprayers, couplings, slurry equipment, sprinklers, and energy and time saving attachments, a hallmark of Bauer expertise. Bauer employs over 500 people and is based in Austria with 80 years of experience in leading edge irrigation and agricultural technologies.

"The appointment of Mr Antony Willemse as our Sales Consultant in New Zealand comes on the back of steady growth as that market prepares for a new direction under stricter guidelines yet to be introduced, favouring a more environmentally sustainable approach relating to animal waste. Antony is a hands-on consultant with a vast knowledge of machinery and their application. He launched wastewater treatment system, Biolytix in NZ, and provided marketing, management and technical leadership, and we welcome him aboard," said Rick.

Both appointees have a penchant for the environment and believe this aspect should factor into product design. Bauer, which is a dedicated-rural product company, says it is committed to the environment in all aspects of its design, and its separators, for example, are separating effluent into solids and liquids for fertiliser, removing odours, and reusing what once used to be considered useless waste.
